Yes, you heard me right. OZZY WHO?? Pfft. Ronnie James Dio was meant for Black Sabbath. Ozzy was overrated.
Ha Ha Ozzy who? Nice try
great song
thanks
yes…..that’s right it was called BLACK AND BLUE, the bands played together…….I have the vhs tape (very good condition)….. not on dvd…I may think you still can get it ……..
THANK YOU!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!
THERE was a movie called”black and blue” it was black sabbath and blue oyster cult live footage from both band’s interview’s and my friend saw it at the cinema …but its out of print. anyone know where the full movie is? tthis concert must be the black sabbath part …
Ozzy Who? Dio – one of the best singers EVER.
Actually, that is Vinnie. It can’t be Bill cause Bill had a beard at that time. Don’t think that Bill did any live dates for H&H, since he had to leave for personal reasons.
no 1980 it should still be bill ward, think he left some time between the 2 albums in early 81
Vinnie was my favorite of the brothers….solid
Wonderful upload, you can see and hear a masterpiece from another time period.
I don’t mind Carmine’s drumming. He did drum for Ozzy. So, maybe he could drum for Sabbath now.
yes that sure looks like Vinnie ,plus that sounds like his heavy handed sound.soo good RJD decided to keep him for his solo stuff ..always like Vinnie more than his more Flashy Brother..
Is that Vinnie on the skins?
magnifico!!!
Really enjoyed that.
Thanks for uploading this video!
Dio Sabbath > Ozzy Sabbath
sounds good to me. i have seen about 200 shows with many great memories. ozzy in 1981 randy rhoades killed! def leppard opened up their high and dry tour before anyone really new them. i saw metallica in 1983 at a small club with 100 people there, i saw sabbath again in 1981 the mob rules tour. van halen in 1981,1982,1983 and 1984. partying in the parking lot before the show, guys selling bootleg t-shirts, someone else selling acid and black beauties, speed!, arena filled with smoke, party time!
Maybe not as vintage a story as yours, but I saw Black Sabbath, original lineup, in 2005 at the Starwood Ampitheater in Nashville. Velvet Revolver played before them and they were 45 minutes late going onstage. Scott Weiland did his best to look and act like Axl Rose. I’ll never forget that Sabbath played “Sleeping Village.” That’s right, Sleeping fucking Village. How awesome is that?
If someone prefers RJD in Sabbath, nothing wrong with that. My fave era is Ozzy, but Dio was the greatest metal vocalist ever, while Ozzy is one of the best metal PERFORMERS ever. His strength as a singer was his ability to come up with amazing melodies. Few people can touch the Oz in that respect. Some people prefer Tony Martin, and that’s fine, too. I think the variety is what made Sabbath interesting. Gillan? Not appropriate, but a great singer and a great album out of it.
Dio’s power & range blow Oz away! O.O.’s a great showman & he sings with a lot of feeling, this can’t be denied. But you’re 100% right:Dio was the voice of Metal!
I guess your opinion (along with the 20 other people who gave you a thumbs up) is worthless because TheTrent1972 claims “fucking kids! Don’t know any better!” I will now hope and pray that the holier than thou denture wearing, hemorrhoid suffering, alzheimer’s patient TheTrent1972 will disseminate & enrich our lives by telling us what we apparently don’t know ONLY he does. Still rattling on about over 30 years ago Ozzy getting kicked to the curb….When TheTrent was 52 years old. So sad.
